FIRST Robotics World Competition in Houston, Texas

We traveled with the team to Houston on Monday the week of Worlds.

The team posed with another team from Mexico in the pit.

The team in their pit - it's a place to display all aspects of the team and its accomplishments
so the judges can observe, and also for hanging out between matches and working on the robot.

On the finals day, it was super cool to see a huge Youtuber like Mark Rober
- he came to say some inspiring things and shoot some t shirts at the audience.

We all met up at Rudy's BBQ restaurant on the last night

The Alamo

We traveled to Houston with the team, so we were there on Monday and had a couple
of days with a lot of free time while the team was doing team stuff. We drove to San Antonio
to see the Alamo and the Riverwalk.

There's Biden and Trump heads behind me, I guess it's to pose for pictures.

"Legend states that in 1836 Lt. Col. William Barret Travis unsheathed
his sword and drew a line on this ground. Before his battle-weary men
stating: 'Those prepared to give their lives in freedom's cause, come
over to me!'"

I'm trying to photobomb this picture.....

NASA Johnson Space Center in Houston

On Tuesday we still had a lot of free time to kill, so we tried out the NASA space center

We took a tour of the astronaut training center

One of the original desks from the mission control from the Apollo 13 days, really cool
to see something that was actually there in the 60s. We could've
gone on a tour of Mission Control, but all the tours were sold out.
