Nationals Baseball Game

The Washington DC Library summer reading program is pretty amazing.  After eight hours of reading, they reward each child with a book of their choice, a voucher for a meal at Chipotle, and two free tickets to a Nationals baseball game.  Each of our kids completed the reading easily, leaving us with 6 free tickets to a baseball game.

So Carson invited Joseph, a friend from church, to come with us.

We had a good time and it helped us teach the kids more about baseball -- sports aren't exactly a big focus in our family, so they didn't know much.

You could see the top of the Capitol building from out seats at the stadium, pretty impressive.

We arrived early, so the stadium looks really empty, but it was pretty full as the game got going.
