Muffin Moms Morning

Tucker's class invited all the moms to come in and have some mini-muffins and apple juice this morning. They also put on a musical program - they sang nursery rhymes with a cool rock beat! Tucker was so happy to have his mom in class with him, he showed me around the classroom.

Keith's Track Day

I spent the day at the race track, racing go-carts and exotic cars (thanks to a vendor that invited me to attend a short meeting followed by the racing).  It was a lot of fun.  I was one of the top drivers on the go-carts, which were incredibly fast, and had a lot of fun driving a Ferrari F430 and a new Corvette Stingray C7.  They had a coach in the car with you that would help you line up my path and tell you how fast to take the corners and encouraging you to go insanely fast on the straightaways.  You definitely heard the tires squealing and could feel the car slide a little on the corners.  Then when you'd stop you could smell the burnt rubber from the tires.  It was really fun.  The new Corvette was really impressive.

My go-cart suit.

Carson's Day at the Track (Pine Wood Derby Race)

Carson had a great time designing, building, painting and decorating his Cub Scout Pine Wood Derby car.  He did much of the work himself and we are all really proud of the results.

Trapping Leprechauns

The boys decided that they needed to trap any Leprechauns that came to our house during St. Patricks day 'so that they could get the Leprechaun's gold'.  So Tucker and Carson each devised their traps and used some of my gold plated bb-gun pellets as bate.

A Leprechaun got Tucker's gold and triggered the trap, but escaped.

Carson had two traps, one with fools gold and one with real gold, but his sign said there was lots of gold in the trap with the fools gold.  It looks like the Leprechaun was mad about the fools gold, so he knocked down the trap and didn't touch the trap with the real gold.
