Go to cake School!

Savannah isn't quite 1 year old yet, she will be on Monday. Since Grandma Bea and Grandpa Gene were coming to visit us, we celebrated early.

Here is the 'professionally decorated' cake we got from Safeway bakery.

The bright yellow and pink, the lopsided shape, and amateurish writing was NOT what I was expecting........

......but........Savannah couldn't have cared less. The cake was delicious! She loved mushing it between her fingers.

Think Kindness Golf Tournament

To celebrate some recent software releases at work and to take a break, the company treated the developers to a day of golf.  We entered the Think Kindness Charity Golf Tournament (http://www.thinkkindness.org/) at Lakeridge golf course.

Other than driving ranges, I don't think that I've golfed since middle school.  So I had low expectations of my abilities.  To start with, my horribly low expectations were met.  But after I while I warmed up and also started using our CTO's golf clubs and my game improved significantly.  I was only partially horrible.

In any case, we all had a good time and helped a good cause.

Carson and Tucker

Grassy times

Just having some backyard time today.

Fountain Fun

We went to the rib cookoff a couple weeks ago and went to the fountains after eating a couple of ribs. Savannah loved it, she just wanted to crawl all over, but I didn't want her soaked, so I was holding on to her the whole time.

And here are the fountains at Scheels.

School Cafeteria Food

Carson decided to eat hot lunch at the school cafeteria this week.  Yesterday I asked him what he ate --- fish.

I asked him if it was like
fish sticks or more like a filet.  He responsed, "No.  It wasn't like meat."

Pretty scary...
