Crawling video

Here is a little taste of what Tucker does all the time now. If I can edit myself out of the other video (which is longer and better) then I'll post that one soon. But until then, enjoy this 10 seconds!

Boys growing up

The last four pictures are taken by Carson. He's pretty good with the camera. He really captured Tucker's new skill, crawling. In the red picture, that was when they were inside the tent that Carson got for Christmas. they were in there for a while, laughing and playing, and taking pictures too. Tucker really 'plays' with Carson now. He squeals with delight as Carson crawls around on the floor with him.

Mobile at Last

Carson is an amazing big brother; he taught Tucker to crawl today.

Tucker is crawling like a pro. He is stable and can move pretty quickly.

Time to start baby proofing again...

Glowing at the Coconut Bowl in Sparks

Angela and I have never been bowling together and our kids have never had the opportunity. So we decided to spend our day off at the Coconut Bowl in Sparks. It has a fun family safe atmosphere, making it possible to bring a 3 year old and a 6 month old.

Blacklights, flashing colored LED lights, and spotlights provide all the light that you need to bowl. They even had bowling shoes that fit Carson and a bowling ball that he could lift and throw! It was a little tough for him at first, but he got the hang of it and had a good time.

We weren't too shabby. Angela set the stage with a strike in the first frame. Carson picked up a spare and I got some strikes and spares.

We finished the outting off with lunch at New Yalk Pizza in Reno, which we've been meaning to try. It was good.

Paratroopers Invade Sparks Home

Our home was invaded by Paratroopers this weekend!

Tucker and Carson (with a little bit of help from Dad), built a parachute for their toys. A Halo 3 action figure and a Lightning McQueen car (from the Pixar Cars movie) tested it out.

It look a few crash landings to work out the kinks, but before long toys were soaring from our second story.

Tucker laid on the ground below and smiled as the toys would fall towards him.

A Cool Baby Tucker

This evening, Carson asked, "Are we going to have another baby Tucker?"

"Maybe someday, but not now," I said.

"Good. We already have a cool baby Tucker," responds Carson.

Our Custom Bedroom Set

We finally received our new custom bedroom set. It is all one-of-a-kind, made out of Walnut and Cherry wood. Each side of the bed has three floating drawers that form the base of a cherry platform that the mattress rests on. The drawers have aromatic cedar bottoms.

The nightstands have a walnut inlay in the top drawer and have a pull out tray.

Kip at Home Solutions at Ace Hardware in Sparks helped us design it and coordinated its manufacturing. The kids are posing for some pictures that he was taking to hopefully sell the concept to other customers. Thanks Kip!

Happy New Years!

They must have talked about New Years in Carson's Sunday School class. Since then, he has been saying, "Happy New Years!" He doesn't have a clue what New Years is, but he has been asking when Santa will come back.

Well, New Years has finally come. We spent a nice, low key day relaxing as a family.
Carson is such a sweet big brother -- he really takes care of Tucker. Frequently, at story time before going to bed, Carson asks to read his books about being a big brother.
